I have just got a USB mouse and cannot get the USB port working. I'm
using kernel 2.4.17 that a friend helped me compile to get my sound
working. I think USB support is compiled in, and I would like to avoid
recompiling the kernel if possible since I have no idea how we got the
sound working in the first place and do not want to try it again.
Thus two questions:
1) From the data below, can anyone tell me whether USB is compiled
correctly into the kernel ?
2) If it is how do I get it working ?
I have woody and installed hotplug from the unstable tree.
cat /proc/pci gives my USB controller as:
