First off you need to have graphviz from unstable, backported is fine and works for me, the woody version has segfault problems. Then the following is a really cool feature of apt-cache. Insert your favorite program in the place of the libc6 example. dotty <(apt-cache dotty libc6) While reading the man page for apt-cache I found it produces dotty output. It is a graphical dependency diagram of what packages depend upon what other packages. Way cool. Bob
