The sid release will never be changed to stable.
Packages from sid migrate into unstable (etch at present) when
they are deemed sufficiently mature.
At some time yet to be determined (probably a year or more from now),
etch will undergo a code freeze, and eventually be designated stable.
But by that time, sid will probably have very different contents.

OK, perhaps I might get around to it before then :)
