Sounds like you're trying to play it on the IDE bus. Connect a CD audio cable between your CD ROM and your sound card and make sure you use analog mode instead of digital and you're good to go. Many systems, for whatever messed up reason, haven't been shipping with CD audio cables in the last few years. Never mind that audio playback works extremely poorly without it, if at all. - -- .''`.
