Not any more.  Support for real 386 processor has been dropped:

IIRC the problem was, that a c library only supports the creation of
code for 486 processors and above.  There used to be a kernel patch
which emulates 486 processors, but it was bugy, had security problems
and is unmaintained.  So true "80386" CPUs are no longer supported by
sarge.
