| |>Replying to my own mail... The problem lies with binutils... sid has a newer version, that seems to have some problems with building kernels (2.4 and 2.6 branches). The patches for kernel source can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/devel/binutils/linux-2.6-seg-5.patch and http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/devel/binutils/linux-2.4-seg-4.patch Hope that helps someone else too.
