Some time ago I reported here that my wireless connection (Cisco Aironet
340 on Thinkpad 50e) was breaking after an upgrade on Unstable. I
thought at first it was a bug in wireless-tools but that proved not to
be the case.

After a lot of reinstalling, testing, and experimenting I have
discovered that it is hotplug which is causing the problem. Provided I
put this package on hold everything else works as expected.

I've put in a bug report but I'm posting this here because I think that
one or two people on the list have experienced something similar.

Incidentally, the same thing happens with recent versions of Ubuntu and
Knoppix.
