I've just bought three new computers with the MSI 649 Neo-V
motherboard (Sis 649 NorthBridge, Sis 965L SouthBridge).

Now, trying to install Debian, I've discovered that Sis 965L is not
supported by linux kernels:

- onboard net card is not recognized
- my sata hard disks are not recognized

so I cannot install.

Browsing the archives, I found it to be a known issue

http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/01/msg02800.html

and a patch is available

http://bugme.osdl.org/attachment.cgi?id=4542&action=view

Do you know this patch?
Any suggestion on how to come out of this hell?

Thanks,
Marco
