If you have your /home directory mounted on a separate partition (I HIGHLY recommend this), you can simply install debian, and mount your ubuntu /home as your /debian home. This is how I would approach it. Faiing that, I'd backup all my /home data and do a fresh install (and make a separate /home partition while I was at it). I've had bad experiences with mixed knoppix/debian systems, so I would definitely shy away from that approach, IMHO. - -- - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There's no use in having a dog and doing your own barking.
