Hi, I just ran grub-install on my root partition and not my boot partition, which added an x86 boot sector to the front of this partition. Doh. The underlying file system is reiserfs. I have tried dd'ing (after dd'ing the whole thing to a backup file) the 512 bytes from an existing reiserfs partition but this did not work. Can anyone tell me what to do?
