Its been over a year since I ran KDE and that was on a knoppix install,
so sorry if this doesn't help. ISTR a "run as root" feature buried in
the menu somewhere that allowed you to do your "NEXT" operation as root.
I'm grasping at straws here, but I'm sure it was under an admin menu. Of
course it could have just been a nice little sudo wrapper script or
something.
