Hi, I must thank you all who gave me suggestions on what to do. It was indeed the sky2 module that was required. Even though I *thought* I tried it, I guess I just didn't do it right the first time, but last night I tried it again, loaded the module, up'd the interface and success!!!
Once again, it was the Marvel Yukon 88E8053 PCIe Gigabit LAN Controller on board the ASUS P5GD2-X MB using the sky2 module/driver. As I've previously mentioned, I'ved tried using the default module that comes with the 2.6.16.27 kernel as well as patching it the the driver from the Marvell site. I've also compiled it both into the kernel and as a module. I might give it one last try tonight before putting in a new NIC, but it doesn't look promising. > > Thanks, > -Glen what drivers have you tried? looking at the 2.6.17.6 sources, there are 3 syskonnect/marvell drivers:sk98lin, skge and sky2 reading the docu sky2 should probably fit yours Albert PS: i have an 2 older marvell chip that works with newer kernels and the sk98lin driver, but have only read about the newer ones... yours Albert - -- Albert Dengg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFE7ERphrtSwvbWj0kRAp2jAJ4xQXA0ZcSyp6flHlGF4n1S7GCpwACffETO C91DUfBeUwV12dtpqJDzO6g= =5pOV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
