Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any idea if it is possible to provide a location mapping system using debian (or any other flavour of linux) using GPS or GIS? i currenty do now have any GPS devices so am experimenting with Google maps With data generated with GIS, but since google information is a bit lacking for australia, its not going to really work until they further develop it. Is the idea of global positioning possible using linux or am i thinking beyond its capabilities.
Any info much appreciated,
Will
