OK. startxfce4 given interactively on the server
starts the GUI. Try this as the content of
~/.vnc/xstartup.

startxfce4
In this case, the vnc client opens an empty viewer.
So the bare "startxfce4" command is not working.
Why does this fail? How should it be fixed?
