I think aptitude is being developed more and may include such functions. Also, apt-get has less functions when compared to aptitude, so I dont see it being expanded as fast as aptitude. Either way, you can make a 'wishlist' request. But the scipt is not very complex to make, at least by me. And this script may not meet everyones needs, so it probably wont be added.
