No. If it gets a _valid_ renew request it will give the same address. If it gets a discover request, the server will still check for an existing lease, and still issue the same address. If there is no valid lease, it will then randomly assign a new address from the pool. (DHCP3 sarge) Greatly simplified description. For more detailed info see man dhcpd.conf.
