I just spent a few days trying to get IP masquerading and iptables to work correctly, and though I had different symptoms of failure than yours, in the end, what made things work was to recompile the kernel changing some of the netfilter stuff which had been compiled in to the kernel to modules. rb -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
