hi guys,
we have a bunch of apc back-ups cs500 ups-es for our desktops. they work
fine with the exception of one machine, where we are getting
ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.0: wakeup
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 6
usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71

usb 2-1: device not accepting address 9, error -71
Here is a possibly relevant article: http://www.mepis.org/node/5860
after plugging in the cable. does anyone have any idea how to sort this
out? the machine is up-to-date etch, dual core amd64 running with -k7
kernel (i.e., in 32 bit mode). the ups is the only guy that causes
problems, flash sticks are recognized and treated properly.
according to specs, the mobo of this machine is asus m2n (socket am2,
nvidia nforce 430 mcp). it works fine in other respects (except the
kernel bug reversing the LAN MAC address).
thank you in advance for any hints.
with best regards,
