Today: Sid = Unstable Etch = Testing Sarge = Stable Woody = OldStable When Debian 4.0 is released: Sid = Unstable Lenny = Testing Etch = Stable Sarge = OldStable Lenny will initially be a copy of Etch, not Sarge.
