I used gnome-volume-properties to turn off all the auto-mounting options I saw, but the problem persists. I"ll keep looking for other options. > how does it manage to mount a partition without a filesystem? This disk has a filesystem on it that I want to get rid of. I run gparted, delete the partition, and apply the changes. All looks good. I even exit out of gparted and then go back in, and the disk has no partition. I then create a partition, and when I apply this change the system automatically mounts the partition, and the old filesystem is back, contents and all. Is there some other way to properly erase the disk so I can start from scratch and lay down a new filesystem? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
