Basically the same as always--politely requesting she send me a usable copy of the document in question and explaining what that means (I don't think I actually used the word "usable"), then mentioning that there are reasons not to use .docs at all (not working on other systems, forcing people into an upgrade cycle and thus helping a particularly monolithic and vicious corporation, not even showing up the same on other systems running the same, accessibility stuff, and virii and version control/privacy stuff, then giving a couple of links in case she wanted something more than my word). But then again, this particular person is I think more open to new ideas than most just in general. But yeah, a success nonetheless!
