I got exactly the same output. So I entered the line echo "Hello World..." at the end of .bash_profile, just to see if if were executed by a new bash session. And ... NO. Whenever I open a new bash window, I read "Hello World..." but when I open a new session, no message is shown. So, I think the problem is whenever I open a new session, .bash_profile isn't read anymore. But I really have no clue how to solve this. Greetings, Manon.
