The apt-get --download-only is neat, but what about now later when you want to install them? No single command to then install all you've recently downloaded, without editing each history entry or scanning ctimes of files in /var/cache/apt/archives/?
dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/THE_DEB_PACKAGE.deb or if you want all dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/*
