I had a problem this morning, not sure how it happened or what is going on. suddenly I can't send mail from kmail, error, saying plain isn't supported from my smtp server. So I fired up IceDove, configured it the same as kmail for my smtp setup, and mail went out. It also continued to work fine for my wifes login, using kmail.
Now I HAD been fooling around that morning with kmyfirewall, and I did start it up as my user ( with the root password)..... but I ran all the scripts it showed, to back out the settings. so everything works on my box, firefox, internet, email in, IceDove, but I can't send email from kmail, using ANY of my smtp setups. I have 3 seperate outgoing smtp servers setup, my domain, my ISP and my work... I could not send email from any of them. clues, ideas? -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800 Registered Ubuntu User #12459 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
