My crystal ball tells me that your drive is mounted with the `noexec' option (this is the default for user-mountable devices). You need to mount /media/usb0 with the `exec' option, like this: # mount -o exec /media/usb0 You need to be root to to this, but you can also specify the `exec' option in /etc/fstab.
