UPS question

I have a new ups and it came with a software disc with the following 
Unix software...AIX, Freebsd, HP, Linux, SCO, Solarus.  Which one do 
I use and or Is there software on the Synaptic Package Manager that I 
should look for?

Plus, <http://boinc.berkeley.edu/>Boinc has a new version and 
Synaptic (SPM) has not updated its version yet.  Boinc has a linux 
version on there site and I have downloaded it but I have no idea how 
to install it.

Any help would be appreciated.
