I understand what you are saying in the previous paragraph, and I expected to be able to do what you suggest. My problem is that the installer will not let me do that in LVM logical volumes -- I am *not allowed* to put the cursor on a LV, hit enter and make those selections. So, I am back to my original question: can I do what I want to do, and if so how? Otherwise should I abandon LVM altogether and file a bug report?
