I don't know how to turn this off without a recompile. (I don't know too much about DEBUG_DETECT.) Maybe it is possible to recompile only the stuff in "sound" and keep the rest. It might be easier to get rid of the messages on the console if you don't mind having them appear in the syslog. The alsa code uses a dedicated function, snd_printdd(), do generate the DEBUG_DETECT messages. You could try if the console output can be suppressed via the normal /proc/sys/kernel/printk mechanism.
