-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I am trying to install debian on a computer with one IDE drive attached. Partman on the debian installer does not see a partition table on the drive though there is one and if I write a new one it still doesn't see it. When I load the ubuntu installer, it sees the disk as a SCSI (sda) instead of IDE (hda). Even though this disk is actually IDE, it somehow only works when treated as SCSI. How can I force debian to treat the device as a scsi device?
