I have a cardbus adapter called "Zonet ZEN 1201 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet
32-bit", which is actually a Realtek RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+. It was very
inexpensive, but it works extremely well for me in my Dell Inspiron 1150 using
Lenny.
It is identified thusly by lshw:
*-network
          description: Ethernet interface
          product: RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+
          vendor: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
          physical id: 1
          bus info: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:03:00.0
          logical name: eth0
          version: 10
          serial: 00:00:b4:20:25:3c
          size: 100MB/s
          capacity: 100MB/s
          width: 32 bits
          clock: 33MHz
          capabilities: pm bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp mii 10bt
10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd autonegotiation
          configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=8139too
driverversion=0.9.28 duplex=full ip=192.168.2.2 latency=64 link=yes
maxlatency=64 mingnt=32 module=8139too multicast=yes port=MII speed=100MB/s

And lspci -v shows this about it:
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)
        Subsystem: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RT8139
        Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11
        I/O ports at d000 [size=256]
        Memory at f9400000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512]
        Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
        Kernel driver in use: 8139too
        Kernel modules: 8139cp, 8139too

I have had no problems whatsoever with this card on several different Linux
distributions.

I am more than willing to post any of my configs that could be of help.

Regards.
