jdk 1.2 works in sarge, When I run it in etch, I get the following message:
Can't load library "/mnt/sarge/home/zhou/sw/jdk1.2.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so", because /mnt/sarge/home/zhou/sw/jdk1.2.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference Could not create the Java virtual machine.
