I went ahead and installed wicd from backports. I've tested the connection swapping and it will request and receive an address automatically (DHCP here) no problem so far. Here is how I did it. Add this entry to your /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://www.backports.org/debian lenny-backports main contrib non-free then get the key to verify the packages. # apt-get install debian-backports-keyring # aptitude update To install: # aptitude -t lenny-backports install wicd To keep it automatically updated add/create /etc/apt/preferences with this Package: * Pin: release a=lenny-backports Pin-Priority: 200 Some other options can be found here. http://www.backports.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=instructions Hope this helps out. -- Daryl Styrk Naples, FL USA -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
