[OT] imap-server for short message services?

Dear All

Does anyone know if there exists a kind of imap-server for sms' (the one 
you can send and
receive on your mobile phone)?
If this kind of server exists one can receive, write and delete sms' 
from your mobile phone
but also using a computer.
