It works for me with Virtual Box 3.0.2 and Debian squeeze. It took me a little while to get it working properly though, I can take a look later when I get access to the machine to see what my final configuration was. I remember experimenting with different versions of the guest additions. I tried installing the debian packages, I tried installing the guest additions from the Virtual Box menu, and I tried just nothing (xorg already has some built-in support).
