Also I was thinking what's the Debian Bug fix policy in situation like this. For example, what if I file a bug against the watchdog package in Lenny. If the bug is confirmed by the maintainer, will it ever get fixed in future updates of Lenny? Or only the critical/serious bugs are only fixed (in the form of security updates) on a Stable release?
