It is normal in the sid version, but for the version in testing it is a bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=535624. The solution is to upgrade xserver-xorg to version 1:7.3+20, available in lenny-proposed-updates, and to run "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" afterwards.
