Yeah, but sometimes people get tired of answering the same questions over and over again every time someone tries Linux for the first time ;) I've asked a lot of FAQ questions in my time, though, so I don't complain about it too much. Just add the Debian Multimedia repository to your sources, according to the version of Debian you are using (ie. Lenny, Sid, or Squeeze): http://debian-multimedia.org/ If you install Xine, Ogle or VLC from there, any of them should do DVD playback. For really detailed instructions you can Google 'enable dvd playback debian'. If after this you are still having trouble, then write back and someone will gladly assist you.
