I was in a similar situation like you before I started using wicd. (People on lenny should use backport's wicd). It just hides all the unnecessary complexity of wireless behind a rather intuitive and simple interface. You configure it once for a new environment and it will work henceforth. I have multiple different wireless and wired networks configured on my laptop that "just work", now. - -- Johannes In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual. -- Galileo Galilei, physicist and astronomer (1564-1642) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAktokucACgkQC1NzPRl9qEWrLACfRs5zuYhTTIXAOqx9zIOrgMaH yMsAnR+u1HgNIqF2Yx4usS5yr9aR7Gq8 =bGPf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
