Try apt-get'ting xbase-clients and/or xfree86-common.

According to dpkg -S -

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -S 'xinitrc'
xbase-clients: /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -S 'xsession'
xfree86-common: /usr/share/doc/xfree86-common/examples/xsession.gz
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
