Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting apcupsd to work with a USB UPS (Backup-UPS XS 1500, in this particular instance).
I'm using apcupsd-devel 3.10.6-5 on Debian testing using kernel 2.4.20-bf2.4. When I try /etc/init.d/apcupsd start, I get: Starting APC UPS power management: apcupsd. server:/etc# apcupsd FATAL ERROR in linux-usb.c at line 615 Cannot open UPS device Thanks!
