Hmm. Yes, Canon provide software for Debian that is supposed to do the postscript to CAPT thing for their networked printers, but it fails. From /var/log/cups/error_log: E [09/Nov/2010:08:12:25 +1100] PID 2494 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstocapt3) crashed on signal 9! E [09/Nov/2010:08:12:25 +1100] PID 2496 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/socket) crashed on signal 9! Same if we use ipp. Some dill from Canon support here in Australia claimed that Canon does not support Unix or Linux! I've yet to have this escalated, but I'm not hopeful.
