i installed wireless-tools, wicd&& like i did many times before on

no reaction: no wireless connection, sp told me wicd-curses.
i guess i gonna try it again with the broadcom-STA driver as another
kind soul suggested, unless one of you (thanks hugo) has a better
idea.
If you configure the wireless after installing wicd you need to
configure the correct device, so make sure
wireless_interface =
in /etc/wicd/manager_settings.conf points to the correct interface. Of
course, this can be configured in the GUI as well ;)

thank you for your advice, andrei. i installed already the wl module (m-a a-i
broadcom-sta); (wl.ko in the kernel modules) i had wcid allready configured
(wicd-curses) and all went well.

steef
so the problem is solved
