Hi, I have a PC that doesn't belong to any domain. All outgoing mails are handled by a SMTP server. I modified {MTAHost} in the default submit.cf to point to the SMTP server. All works fine, except 1. The "sleeping" (see below) that takes up lot of time 2. "Return-path" set to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'd like it to be the same as "From:" 3. The "Received" header that is added, which I'd like to eliminate.
How do I specify these in submit.mc ? (sendmail is invoked by mutt with -oem -oi, whatever that means...) ======== maillog ======= Oct 7 20:40:14 ax-sp-pc20 sendmail[20106]: My unqualified host name (ax-sp-pc20) unknown; sleeping for retry Oct 7 20:41:14 ax-sp-pc20 sendmail[20106]: unable to qualify my own domain name (ax-sp-pc20) -- using short name Oct 7 20:41:15 ax-sp-pc20 sendmail[20106]: h97FBEvj020106: from=akariga, size=521, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Oct 7 20:41:20 ax-sp-pc20 sendmail[20106]: h97FBEvj020106: [EMAIL PROTECTED], ctladdr=akariga (11027/500), delay=00:00:06, xdelay=00:00:05, mailer=relay, pri=30317, relay=[10.255.0.20] [10.255.0.20], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (TAA11739 Message accepted for delivery) =============== Thanks, Ashish. -- --------------------------------------------------------------- | The possession of a book becomes a substitute for reading it. | ---------------------------------------------------------------
