Debian Wheezy has now a full support for multi-arch (well... if you use apt-get... last time I tried, aptitude failed). Some stuffs may need to be ironed out but as far as I am concerned, skype works very well with all the dependencies under my debian 32/64bits hybrid. All you need to do is adding [arch=amd64,i386] between deb and your mirror URL in /etc/apt/source.list
