OK, yes; that is why I say that everything up to "Note by mschiff" 
is obsolete and misleading.  But if mschiff's instructions 
are correct, they offer a solution to the arbitrary-renumbering-problem.

In FAQ026 "Note by mschiff" is about half way down the page.
