iso-scan is not responsible for the unmounting of /dev/sdX. I do not know why I implied it was. > > But we need to keep data on USB Stick accessible on the server during all > > the install process. > > > > Please, we need advice on this case. > > 1. It would be good if you would say whether this works for your situation. However, within the context of your chosen installation method, it is sufficient to return to the third menu option (Scan hard drives for an installer ISO). This will unmount /cdrom, then mount /hd-media and /cdrom again. You can then continue from where you left off. The same result can be obtained with umount /cdrom mount -tvfat /dev/sdX /hd-media mount /hd-media/<yourISO> /cdrom from a console session. It should be noted that the method you have used for booting from a USB device should be used only if you have some special requirement which cannot be met by the recommended technique in Section 4.3.1. In the vast majority of cases setting up the device for booting from an isohybrid ISO is reliable and will suit most users. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
