What DE are you using (cli tools are available too)? There are lots of great calendars, organisers and reminder tools in the Debian repository - my preference is for ones that intergrate well with other tools. E.g. in KDE Korganiser intergrates with Kontacts, Kmail, groupware, scheduling, project management tools and todos etc Also:- $ apt-cache search [calendar|organiser|organizer|scheduler|reminder] and - there are extensions for Icedove that have that functionality.
