Hi. After upgrading to Jessie, I am finding some problems:
1) Frozen screen I cannot find a proper Xorg configuration for my laptop. When X is closed, the screen freezes and gets full of blank stripes and stains. There is no way to get to the console after X is started (Ctr-Alt-F1...). [The symptoms change according to the display manager; gdm3 problems are more severe, not even starting X successfully. Kdm lets me using X, but not re-login or go to a console.] When I used Debian Squeeze (as "testing"), I had the same problem. Eventually, as of an upgrade (Wheezy), I could get a fully working screen, provided that no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file existed (that worked with an older gdm version, but not with a newer one). Then I could alternate between X and framebuffer/console. Now, after upgrading to Jessie, that approach does not work anymore: input devices (synaptics pad and keyboard) stop to work when X starts. With an xorg.conf file, I have the freezing problem described above. I do not know how to get a correct xorg.conf setup. I am using a Positivo Laptop. After upgrading to version 5.2.0.dfsg.1-1_i386, it cannot understand anymore the command C-n ("Next Line").
