Yes, it is used, and as I've already said, 'beeb' is like a "wrapper-script" to get-iplayer. It takes what get-iplayer does, makes it work a bit more logically, and then creates a 'beeb.m3u' playlist under ~/.mpd if you tell it too. If it doesn't scratch your itch, then you don't have to use it, its all free and open-source!
