Good idea, but perhaps the OP needs to run

dpkg -i --force-depends PACKAGE

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ llmount -w debi386; sudo systemd-nspawn -D 
/mnt/debi386
root@debi386:~# dpkg --force-help
dpkg forcing options - control behaviour when problems found:
  warn but continue:  --force-<thing>,<thing>,...
  [!] depends            Turn all dependency problems into warnings
